District leadership camp is all about learning leadership. Leadership in FFA is showing that you are responsible for doing your job, showing other members your techniques and sharing your knowledge. At leadership camp, you also have the opportunity of getting to know your fellow FFA members in your district, learning about different leadership positions, and practicing your duty expectations as an officer like reporting events or opening the door to welcome more FFA members.
It is used to better your skills as an officer. We all learn so much in such little time.
-Matthew Hoque, Mohawk FFA President
For example, each school did a round table share and told other schools how they spark interest to attend FFA chapter meetings. Matthew Hogue the Mohawk FFA President said “It is used to better your skills as an officer. We all learn so much in such little time.”
During camp you get the opportunity to learn how to interact with people such as doing scavenger hunts and playing games that leads to working together or interacting to share knowledge. The fun part, is spending the night in cabins to enjoy social time with with fellow chapter and district members.
