December 2021 ESPY Winners

ESPY: Exceptional Student Performance this Year – award is given to students who are doing well academically and have an exceptionally positive attitude about school. They demonstrate respect and responsibility towards staff and their peers.  They show courage by not conforming to Peer pressure and refuse to accept anyone who bullies.

The MSD School Board and the District want to recognize these students by celebrating their success at the beginning of each Board Meeting each month.  Students receive a certificate, meet each of our Board members, and their names are announced on the district website.

December 2021 ESPY Winners

Amelia Mars – 5th grader nominated by Alan Shafer

“Amelia is a model student who shows up every day prepared and eager to learn. She is a great role for others, always positive and respectful to her peers and adults. Amelia puts a lot of effort into her learning and is always one of the first ones to turn in her work and ask for more. I can always count on Amelia to be engaged in all activities throughout the day. She brings her best effort and works hard to be her best.

Eddy Yi – 7th grader nominated by Carissa Childs

“Each day, Eddi enters class on time, prepared with all necessary supplies, and ready to learn. Inside and outside of class, Eddi demonstrates integrity, honesty, and helpfulness. He is a diligent student who is consistently on-task, asks great questions, and works hard to learn challenging material. Eddi is a leader in the classroom and always takes time to help classmates.

Alexis Robinson – 10th grader nominated by Liz Lowry

“Alexis is present every day in class with her work completed, ready to discuss the topics we’ve been learning. She helps other students. If her classmates have questions or struggle with the work, she assists them. Alexis goes above and beyond on her assignments, showing a high level of understanding and engagement. Alexis is consistent in her work ethic, leadership, and support of others.”

These students are all shining examples of the MSD spirit and we are thrilled to be able to recognize them for being exceptional students.
