ESPY: Exceptional Student Performance this Year – award is given to students who are doing well academically and have an exceptionally positive attitude about school. They demonstrate respect and responsibility towards staff and their peers. They show courage by not conforming to Peer pressure and refuse to accept anyone who bullies.
The MSD School Board and the District want to recognize these students by celebrating their success at the beginning of each Board Meeting each month. Students receive a certificate, meet each of our Board members, and their names are announced on the district website.
March 2022 ESPY Winners are;
Emily Ludwig – 3rd grader nominated by Jaime Morneau
“Emily is an active participant in our classroom. She works hard, is willing to fix her mistakes, is always kind, and is an empathetic friend. Emily is a Model Mustang in and out of the classroom. She listens and follows all directions as soon as they are asked and works hard to show respect to all. Emily works hard in class. She takes pride in completing her assignments neatly and accurately. She takes constructive feedback and grows each time. Emily is a go-getter and shows a hunger for learning. She is consistently working hard on her school work and her growth has been amazing to watch. I look forward to watching her grow socially and academically. She will do great things in her future.“

“Caleb is new to Mohawk High and has been a fantastic addition. He consistently comes into his classes ready to learn. In particular, Caleb works diligently to learn challenging new concepts. Caleb is one of the most respectful students in his class. He is polite, courteous, and kind to teachers and classmates. It has been a pleasure to watch Caleb use class time to dive into academic tasks. He is conscientious and asks great questions. Caleb is an exceptional human being. He always tries to do the right thing in every situation.”
Ashley Roser – 12th grader nominated by Kelli Fisher
“This school year Ashley has taken on multiple new learning endeavors and tackled them head on. Her desire to expand her ag education led her to raising her first market goat currently living on the school property in a pen she and another student built over spring break. Additionally, Ashley is actively exploring other post-secondary options such as an ag business or ag teaching career. Ashley’s chipper personality and big smile make her a joy to have in class. Her help and kindness are greatly appreciated. As a natural student leader, Ashley is demonstrating daily proper classroom behavior and respectful actions. She is never in need of being redirected to work or pay attention to classroom discussion. Beyond being a star student in the classroom, Ashley maintains fabulous grades, is actively involved in FFA and student council, and is a two-sport varsity athlete. Her accomplishments have been earned with hard work and diligence. Congratulations Ashely! ”
These students are all shining examples of the MSD spirit and we are thrilled to be able to recognize them for being exceptional students.
