Marcola School District Board Members want to recognize our students monthly for exceptional performance at school.
ESPY: Exceptional Student Performance this Year – award is given to students doing well academically and having an exceptionally positive attitude about school. They demonstrate respect and responsibility towards staff and their peers. They show courage by not conforming to Peer pressure and refusing to accept anyone who bullies.
The MSD School Board and the District want to recognize these students by celebrating their success at the beginning of each monthly Board Meeting. Students receive a certificate, meet each of our Board members, and their names are announced on the district website.
September 2025 ESPY Winners are;
Brielle Freed - 3rd grade, nominated by Jaime Morneau
Brielle is a shining star in third grade. She comes to school each day ready to learn with determination and a smile. She can be counted on to work hard and take on any challenge I have for her. Brielle’s responsibility shines through her respectful behavior and kind attitude. She is a welcoming friend and always empathetic when a classmate is in need. Brielle has been a wonderful edition to the Marcola family and I look forward to watching her shine as she continues her education.
Grayson Smith - 6th grade, nominated by MMS Staff
Grayson consistently arrives to class on time and is often already working on his Bellringer assignment before the start of class. He comes prepared with all necessary materials and is ready to learn as soon as the bell rings.
He is a respectful and responsible student who leads by example. Grayson regularly submits his homework early and demonstrates strong attention and focus during lessons.
In addition, Grayson is a hard-working student who elevates class discussions with his thoughtful and insightful contributions. His engagement and critical thinking enrich the learning environment for everyone. - Rob Jerome
Kamryn Langley - 11th grade, nominated by MHS Staff
Kamryn has set himself apart at the beginning of this year with his hard work, consistent attendance, and the extra effort he has given in classes.
Kamryn has great attendance, and his academic success reflects his focus on learning and producing high quality work. On top of his own success, Kamryn is willing to step up and help others, making him an excellent Teacher's Aide with our middle school students.
Kamryn is also an example socially. He is approachable and kind to students of all ages, and staff can rely on him to show what a positive high school student looks like. Kamryn has never been involved in bullying of any kind, and staff feel that he is someone who will stand up to negative peer interactions, which is, again, a reason he is such a good T.A. for the middle school.
The Mohawk staff would like to recognize Kamryn for his positive start to this year, and let him and his family know how much we appreciate and enjoy having him.
These students are all shining examples of the MSD spirit, and we are thrilled to be able to recognize them for being exceptional students.
