The Marcola School District Board of Directors announces the resignation of Board Member Roxanne Ericson, effective February 10, 2026.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Roxanne for her dedicated service to our students, staff, and community. Her leadership, thoughtfulness, and steady commitment have made a meaningful impact on our district. She has generously given her time, her voice, and her heart to support the success and well-being of every student we serve.

Board Vacancy Announcement

With this resignation, Board Position #5 is now vacant, and the District is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position through an interim appointment. The selected individual will serve from April 13, 2026, through June 30, 2027. Individuals wishing to continue serving beyond that date must file for election through the Lane County Elections Department by the statutory deadline. Continued service is not guaranteed, as this position is filled by public election.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Resident of the District for at least one year as of April 13, 2026

  • Qualified voter within the District

  • Not an employee of the District

  • Available to attend the April 7, 2026, special Board meeting (attendance required to participate in the selection process)

Selection Process:

  • Applications reviewed and qualifications verified by the District Office

  • Initial screening by the Board Chair and Vice Chair (up to three finalists selected)

  • Finalist interviews held at the April 7, 2026, special Board meeting (attendance required)

  • Appointment by the Board on April 13, 2026, if a candidate is selected
