MOHAWK FFA- Sunday was the final day of the State Convention. Many members watched the hypnotist show while our chapter delegates, Alexis Robinson and Ethian Webb, were in their business session bottom for the 2024-2025 State Officers.
We got results from the last few events on Sunday. Brooke Whaley competed in a painting and finished 4th! Our Farm Business Management Team (Brooke Whaley, Ethian Webb, Quentin Makinson, and Alexis Robinson) found out they finished 10th out of 24 teams!
Today we said goodbye to this past year's State Officers and welcomed this coming year! We wish them all the best of luck! We also hope our members take away valuable lessons learned during the past 4 days! We hope everyone had fun and we can’t wait to see what you do next year!

MOHAWK FFA- Yesterday, members from our chapter traveled to Redmond for the 96th Oregon FFA State Convention! When the chapter arrived in Redmond, they got lunch and then toured the Redmond Smoke Jumpers Base at the Redmond Airport. Members learned about all the interesting aspects smoke jumpers do and what it takes to become one.
After, the tour members went to the hotel, changed, and headed off to the 1st session of the convention. During the session, we heard from keynote speaker Corey Greenwood, recognized accomplishments, listened to our State Secretary Ryan Mizee’s retiring address, and our very own Hunter Rockwell spoke on stage to thank Ryan for his time of service.

MOHAWK FFA- Today was the first full day of State Convention. Members attended AM and PM sessions, workshops, and the career fair! Ethian Webb and Cameron Andrews received their Oregon FFA State Degrees during tonight's session! John (JW) Cheechov also went on stage as a top-three finalist for State Star Farmer! Our Student Teacher Samantha Ellis was recognized during this morning's session as a part of her OSU Ag Ed Cohert! We had members compete and complete interviews today and will learn those results tomorrow. Good luck to Brooke Whaley (Extemporaneous Speaking & Environmental Science/Natural Resources Proficiency), JW Cheechov (Sheep Production Proficiency), and Alexis Robinson (Beef Production Proficiency).
