
Welcome to basketball season!! MS and HS have their first and second games this week. If you are heading to Myrtle Point tomorrow, the JV boys play at Myrtle Crest Elementary. Everyone else plays at Myrtle Point HS.

REMINDER: This Thursday 11/16/23 all MSD students will be released from school at 12pm. *NO after-school-program this Thursday for elementary students* Buses will be running as usual, departing the school at 12:05pm.
NO school for all MSD students the week of Thanksgiving 11/20-11/23. Students return to school on Monday 11/27/23.

Basketball starts Monday! Please check your email, and accept the TeamSnap invite. This will be the main platform and app used for all Mohawk teams' communications this season. You can find your athlete's schedules and communications on the TeamSnap app. All basketball practices start Monday 11/13. MS Girls 4-6pm in the elementary gym. MS Boys 6-8pm in the elementary gym. HS Boys 4-6pm in the high school gym. HS Girls 6-8pm in the high school.

Join us for the Marcola Family Playgroup on Thursdays from 2-3pm in the Media Center. Parents and children ages birth to 5 years old are welcome! Enjoy story time, songs, and play time. See flyer for full details!


We have one last big event to round out our fall sports season! We encourage you to come out and support our MS Football and MS Cross-Country athletes this Wednesday. Also, we encourage all MS athletes playing winter sports to sign-up by Friday!

Marcola Elementary School has a week full of spirit and dressing up next week! Monday 10/30 is Country & Western Day. Tues 10/31 is Halloween so dress up in your costume, that is school appropriate. Wednesday 11/1 is Teacher-Student-Swap Day. Thursday 11/2 is Ducks vs Beavers Rivalry Day. Bring your school spirit and dress up every day next week!


Hello Mohawk Community,
This Wednesday, Oct. 25th, Mohawk High School will host a Volleyball first round State Playoff match between our own Mohawk Mustangs and visiting Bonanza Antlers. The match starts at 5:30pm and we would love to have as many fans attend as possible.
Because this match is an OSAA State Tournament event, digital tickets can be purchased through the OSAA Website.
Follow this link https://www.osaa.org/shop/tickets and then select Volleyball--then--1A and then find our match and click get tickets. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6. Cash will also be accepted at the door.

We have another busy and exciting week in sports! MS Volleyball has their 8th grade night tonight. HS Volleyball is hosting the first round of the OSAA Playoffs at home on Wednesday. XC has their districts meet Thursday. HS & MS Football have away games and MS Volleyball rounds out the week on Saturday with their district tournament. We hope to see you at our events this week!

Tomorrow is a busy day for Mohawk Middle School! We will be leaving the school at 8:15 for our field trip and return around 2:00 pm. Please make sure to notify the school if your student needs a sack lunch. When we return, we will be having MMM day , where students will have a chance to complete any missing work that they may have. If students have their work completed, they will be enjoying some fun activities. Also, tomorrow is our Halloween Hangout @ The Marcola Youth Center from 6 to 8 PM. We had to make a correction to our post. Cross Country's meet is on Thursday, not Wednesday. 8th grade night on Wednesday will be for football and cross country before the game. We hope to see you at our events this week! It should be a great week!


Hello MS families, your students were sent home with a permission slip for our Forestry Field Day field trip. They all have been working in science to prepare for this adventure. Please sign and have your student return the slip no later than 10/18. Please indicate if they will need a sack lunch from the school!

We'll also have two tables outside the College and Career office with job information, including Jerry's Hardware and Hamilton Construction. Wednesday, Oct. 18th, 5-7pm. Hello Middle School Families! Please save the dates on the upcoming 8th Grade Recognition games- Middle School Cross Country and Football 8th graders will be honored on Wednesday 10/18 at 4:30pm on the football field. Middle School Volleyball 8th graders will be honored on Monday 10/23 at 4pm in the high school gym. Middle School PTO will be running concessions and doing a 50/50 raffle fundraiser on both dates.
