Chromebook/iPad Procedures

A Chromebook or iPad (K-5) is available to full-time students enrolled in TEACH-NW. A fee of $150 will be deducted from the student’s allotment each year for Chromebooks (K-12) and $200 per year for iPads (K-5 only). 

Fees will be assessed to the student’s allotment during the 1st quarter of each school year.

At the end of the school year, the following ‘Buy-Out’ Options are available: 

End of Year One: You may purchase the Chromebook for $151 or the iPad for $201 or return the device if your child has disenrolled or graduated.

End of Year Two: You may purchase the device for $1 or return the device if your child has disenrolled or graduated.

Other Devices

  • MacBook (Must be enrolled in a TEACH-NW delivered course that requires a MacBook)

  • PC (Must be enrolled in a TEACH-NW delivered course that requires a PC)

  • Microscope ($300 Allotment Deposit Required. The allotment deposit will be refunded to the student’s allotment when the device is returned to TEACH-NW).

  • Rebel Cameras ($600 Allotment Deposit Required. The allotment deposit will be refunded to the student’s allotment when the device is returned to TEACH-NW).

A Signed Technology Use and Lease Agreement is required before any equipment is distributed.

Acceptable Use Policy 

All technology-related devices (Chromebooks, MacBooks, PCs, iPads, Microscopes, Cameras, etc.) are owned by Marcola School district and TEACH-NW and are subject to district policies, rules, and regulations. TEACH-NW is not liable for intentional or accidental damage or misuse of loaned or leased technology.  Conditions indicating improper use are outlined in the documentation available online from the computer manufacturer.  TEACH-NW accepts no responsibility for the actions of students, parents, or persons allowed access to a TEACH-NW Chromebook or iPad.  Assigned devices must be returned to TEACH-NW within 10 days of the withdrawal date or purchased with the buyout option.  If the device is stolen or damaged, the undersigned agrees to pay for the replacement or repair of the device. 

By signing the Technology Use Agreement, the parent/guardian/emancipated minor agrees to take all reasonable precautions with the assigned device and to make every effort to return the device in the same condition as checked out. Further, if the assigned device is stolen or TEACH-NW determined that damage was intentional, the undersigned agrees to pay for the replacement or repair of the device.
